Lincolnshire Police Authority is an independent body of 17 local people whose main duty is to secure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force for the people of Lincolnshire.

The Police Authority is made up of 9 County Councillors, and 8 Independent Members who work together on a wide range of responsibilities including setting the annual budget, agreeing policing priorities and monitoring the police’s performance.

The Authority therefore affects the way you are policed and the amount you pay towards policing costs through the council tax precept.

We aim to regularly engage and consult with you to so that your views directly impact on our work and everyone benefits from a better police service.

We want to ensure policing in the County is responsive to local needs.  You can contact us to let us know your views on policing or if you are dissatisfied with the service you receive.  Further details can be found in the Listening to you section of this site.
