Complaints about Police Authority Staff

Introduction

Lincolnshire Police Authority (“the Authority”) strives to carry out its functions effectively, efficiently and fairly, but accepts that things can sometimes go wrong. If you have a justifiable complaint, we aim to put matters right, and to stop the same thing happening again. In this way your complaints can help the Authority to achieve its aim of continuously improving.

You can complain under this procedure if the Authority’s staff or anyone acting on its behalf does not treat you with the high standards of courtesy and respect the Authority requires.

Please note that although complaints may refer to the behaviour of a particular member of staff, any issues concerning the employer/employee relationship including the need for disciplinary action to be taken are addressed separately under the Authority’s internal procedures.
