POLICE AUTHORITY OUTSOURCING DECISION, DECEMBER 21

12th December 2011

On December 21, at a meeting at Police Headquarters on Deepdale Lane,Nettleham, the Authority will make two decisions :

  1. Whether or not to enter into a contract with a strategic partner to deliver a number of services. The contract would be for ten years, with an option to extend up to 15 years.
  2. If the decision is to enter into a contract, the Authority would then decide between two bidders: G4S and Steria with Reliance.

We are not able to predict how long the decision-making process will take. The meeting will begin with open discussion on outsourcing. For reasons of commercial confidentiality, Press and public will be excluded at the end of the discussion. The Authority will then move into closed session to make its final decision, after which the decision will be announced formally and in public. The meeting  will start at 1 p.m.
