2. Reports in the public part of the agenda include a list of background papers. Background papers are defined in Section 100D of the Local Government Act 1972 and are documents which disclose any facts or matters on which, in the opinion of the Chief Executive, the report, or an important part of the report is based and have in her opinion been relied on to a material extent in preparing the report. The list excludes any background papers which consists of published material or contains exempt or confidential information.
3. The press and public are likely to be excluded from the meeting during consideration of agenda item C2 as it discloses exempt information as described in schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). The report contains information relating to any action taken or to be taken in connection with the prevention, investigation or prosecution of crime.
