2. Reports in the public part of the agenda include a list of background papers. Background papers are defined in Section 100D of the Local Government Act 1972 and are documents which disclose any facts or matters on which, in the opinion of the Deputy Chief Executive, the report, or an important part of the report is based and have in his opinion been relied on to a material extent in preparing the report. The list excludes any background papers which consists of published material or contains exempt or confidential information.
3. The press and public are likely to be excluded from the meeting during consideration of agenda items B2 and B3 as they disclose exempt information as described in schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). Discussion of this item is likely to lead to the disclosure of personal information relating to applicants for the Chief Executive position.
