Name: Councillor Neil Cooper
Neil was an A-level student at Skegness Grammar School. He then entered the motor trade becoming a fully skilled body repairer / paint sprayer. Over the years he became a CPC Holder in national road transport ( transport manager) and gained a HGV1 lorry licence with 22 years driving experience at 44 tonnes gross.
Neil is currently a Councillor for Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) for various Committes including:
- Chairman of Highways and Transport
- Chairman of Technology Scrutiny Committee
- Member of the LCC planning Commitee
- Next year Mayor Burgh le Marsh Town Council
- Member of Skegness Town Council
- Chairman of Burgh Twinning Committee, Carnival Committee, and Heritage Committees
Neil has fairly good use of French language. He is also an executive member of LGA public transport consortium in London representing Lincolnshires voice to government. With an interest in coastal issues Neil is also a member of the LGA Coastal Issues Special Interest Group and Gibraltar Point Joint Administration Group.
